On Easter Day “Resurrection Sunday” I was under the weather so I wasn’t able to go out like I wanted to but that didn’t stop me from going online! While I was online I couldn’t help but notice a lot of people say that Easter is a pagan holiday and they listed the facts about what Easter is really about .

Celebrating Easter IS NOT a sin. Easter was originally a celebration for Jesus before all of the pagan traditions got added.
Celebrating Easter IS NOT a sin. Easter was originally a celebration for Jesus before all of the pagan traditions got added. The Roman Catholic Church which is known for having pagan traditions added pagan traditions to Easter making the modern-day version of Easter pagan.

I know I am about to contradict myself a little but celebrating the birth of Jesus is what Easter was originally about not an “Easter bunny”. Over the years pagan traditions have been added to Easter and those traditions are very evil because by being an Easter bunny or having one in your house you are idolizing it .

1 Corinthians 8:1-13

Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God. Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”—

Easter was originally the celebration of Jesus (As I mentioned above) but through the years people (Anti-Christians) have sneaked in a lot of unholy traditions to confuse Christians on what Easter is really about. The Roman Catholic Church has a history in adding pagan traditions with biblical traditions and we all know you can’t mix Godly and earthly things.

Jeremiah 7:18

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

The main thing to remember about Easter is that it was originally celebrated to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus that is why a lot of Christians, including myself, call it Resurrection Sunday because without the Resurrection you just have a pagan holiday.  God is an intelligent God and he knows the heart so if you feel that you have to skip the celebration of Resurrection Sunday to become closer to God then that’s what you can do .

Personally I know God knows my heart so I still celebrate Resurrection Sunday because that is the day my personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rose from the grave with ALL powers in his hand and God knows that I am not celebrating it to give praise to other gods!

The same thing applies to Christmas I celebrate it because it is around the time {Their is no biblical record that Jesus was born on Christmas day } Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of Kings, was born; I don’t celebrate it to give praise to other gods. Some will still argue and say that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Tammuz, an ancient Babylonian God, but my view is different on that one.

If you are more concerned with the decorations and gifts then Christmas can be something evil but if you are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ then their is nothing wrong with it . Some people feel that they have to skip out on these holidays to become closer to God and if you feel that way that’s up to you but to tell someone that they are worshiping the devil just because they are celebrating Resurrection Sunday or Christmas is just plain silly!

Whatever you have to do make sure you feel closer to God ,do it , as long as it doesn’t contradict The Bible!

This topic is close to heart that’s why I am only talking about this subject on this post but stay tuned because I will definitely be posting more ! My next post ,which should be posted by next Monday, will be about Christians and Sorcery(Witchcraft) and it will be VERY interesting ; You don’t want to miss it!
